I’m a pretty quiet person IRL, but I use my diverse set of creative skills as my voice to surprise and entertain my audience. As a lifelong learner and technology enthusiast, I’m always looking for new ways to express myself and new tools to incorporate into my process.
I make games as an independent developer, usually functioning as the sole artist, designer, and programmer. What I love about game development is creating a set of systems that put the player in situations with interesting choices, along with a set of tools to emerge from those situations with a feeling of accomplishment.
One such game is Dungeon Hearts, which won a funding and publishing deal from Devolver Digital as part of their “Pitch Fork Parker” contest.
I was a backer of the original Oculus Rift Kickstarter, having been fascinated by VR as a kid. I use my game development and 3D art background to create immersive experiences with a focus on surreal environments that instill a sense of surprise and awe. My work has been featured on VRChat and the Museum of Other Realities.
View on Itch.ioI started a project to create a 3D render every day for 365 days which is nearing completion. It’s been a pretty grueling process but it’s also pushed me to experiment with new techniques and tools. The need to come up with a new idea every day has also taught me to always keep my designer’s eye open for inspiration.
